ASUS ROG Azoth Extreme Wireless Mechanical Keyboard @ TechPowerUp
Published: Tuesday, October 15, 2024 | By: DennisNow I realize that there are some people out there that only want to do the bare minimum. We like to call these people "Joanna" and they like to take the stairs, generally eat well but when it comes to using a keyboard, they likely "touch type" and are not bothered by extra things because it really doesn't concern them.
On the other hand, we have over achievers, whom we will call "Brian" with his 37 pieces of flair and oblivious attitude. These people like to push the limits, often to the realm of, unusable. They might have modified cars, that they never drive and find the 10-key to be a relic of the past which reminds them that they cannot touch type.
The ASUS ROG Azoth Extreme is a great example of how to take an already good keyboard, with the ROG Azoth, and improving it further to the point of being one of the best pre-built units on the market. It has a ton of features including an OLED touchscreen display and a novel adjustable gasket mount, but is far from being affordable.
To help offset the loss of any sort of function, the ASUS ROG Azoth Extreme comes with an Oled screen that you can actually touch!
Amazing, Oh, and its wireless.

NVIDIA Set to Unveil Next-Gen RTX 5090 with Unprecedented 2.9 GHz Speed
Published: Tuesday, October 15, 2024 | By: DennisWe all knew this day would come, the day when NVIDIA would release the next generation of GPUs and while most of the world has been focused on AI the vocal minority is still excited to see what this new card will do for our games.
NVIDIA is setting the pace in the GPU market with its upcoming GeForce RTX 5090, part of its next-gen RTX 50 "Blackwell" series, set to be unveiled at CES 2025. Despite rampant speculation, sources close to the matter suggest that the RTX 5090 will not see a significant price hike compared to its predecessor, the RTX 4090.
The RTX 5090 is tipped to be the fastest "out-of-the-box" GPU on the market, boasting a base frequency nearing 2.9 GHz, 32 GB of VRAM, and over 21,000 cores.
This is really impressive and while I am excited to see Jensen talk during CES 2025 I'm a little concerned that he will do another presentation about Blackwell and how they are changing the future of AI while totally bypassing the amazing thing knowing as the RTX 5000 series.

Funky Kit Review - Patriot Viper Elite 5 TUF Gaming RGB DDR5-6600 48GB Memory Kit
Published: Thursday, October 3, 2024 | By: DennisI'm not sure I will ever get used to seeing a 48GB DDR5 memory kit. The sizing makes sense but the math is just "weird". Despite being the bastard child of the memory world, the 48GB kits tend to overclock pretty well and provide a nice middle ground for users living on the edge between emo and country.
If you're already invested in the Asus TUF Gaming Alliance eco-system (motherboard, GPU, chassis, cooler etc), then these Viper Elite 5 TUF Gaming RGB DDR5-6600 48GB memory kits will be the ones to go for. They not only look great, but also offer good performance and tight memory timings.
Sadly, the ASUS TUF Gaming "eco" modules are kinda lame at 6600(MHz/MT/s) but can still allow emo builders a chance to be a little bit country while practicing safe self harm in the comfort of their realistic and fully stable memory clocks.

Alphacool Apex Skeleton @ TechPowerUp
Published: Thursday, October 3, 2024 | By: DennisDuring CES I was invited to check out what Alphacool had on display including this monster of a chassis. Like the InWin W-Frame this chassis is an open air concept with tempered glass and full carbon fiber supports.
The Alphacool Apex Skeleton is an open air frame chassis, which replaces the steel with real carbon fiber components, paired with CNC-milled aluminium parts. That basis already sets the stage for a unique case clearly geared towards the affluent custom liquid cooling enthusiast.
What I like most about this case is that, it is fully modular so you can reconfigure most of the case if you want to experiment with different configurations.

Titan Army P32A2S2 @ TechPowerUp
Published: Saturday, September 14, 2024 | By: DennisThere has always been some confusion around selecting a graphics card, For some they want the best and nothing else can compare. For others they would prefer to min-max their build to get the best bang for their buck. Thing is, both groups tend to forget that monitor selection plays a crucial role in overall system performance.
For instance you could have a monster RTX 4090 but, if you are running a standard 60hz LCD monitor you will never fully realize the performance of that card. Likewise, if you have a large 32" 4K LCD panel you want to make sure your video card can support that resolution.
For me I like to look for something in the middle. 4K panels are great but, I'd rather downgrade slightly, save some bucks and throw the extra into the rest of the system.
The Titan Army P32A2S2 is an affordable 32-inch Fast IPS gaming monitor with 240 Hz refresh rate and a 2560x1440 native resolution, making it a very interesting choice for gamers who want a large display, but don't have the top-of-the-line gaming PC required for 4K.
240Hz @ 25x14 is actually pretty good, you'll get great gaming performance without needing a top of the line graphics card to fully enjoy your system.
What is even better? You can pick up the Titan Army 32" on Amazon for a really decent price.

Funky Kit Review - Corsair iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX RGB AIO CPU Cooler
Published: Saturday, September 14, 2024 | By: DennisOne of the things that draws people to Corsair products is the ecosystem. They offer an accessory or component for just about anything in a PC and have worked hard to ensure that everything can work together. the iCUE LInk system is one of those products that can synchronize LED lights while also enabling fan profiles and communication back to accessories such as their keyboards and mice.
Funky Kit has a review of the Corsair iCUE Link Titan 360 RX RGB AIO CPU Cooler and if you thought the product name was a mouthful wait until you see the "amazing" performance.
Hands down, the Corsair iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX RGB CPU cooler is by far one the best AIO coolers I've tested so far. Not only does it offer amazing cooling performance, but looks absolutely amazing thanks to its ability to change the pump cap with its CapSwap AIO modules
It even comes in white for those snow-blind builds YouTubers love to highlight so much.
